Introduction
The National Fire Data Repository Center (NFDRC) Mobile App (“the App”) is a national public safety application developed to capture, store, analyze, and share fire-related data across Nigeria. The App is owned by the Federal Fire Service (FFS) and operated in partnership with 2TOC Solutions Ltd as its technical partner.

d. Location Data
- Real-time GPS location when you choose to report or update an incident.
- Background location (only where explicitly granted by the user) to support accurate incident mapping and response analysis.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected through the App to:
- Record and analyze fire incidents and related emergencies nationwide.
- Improve mobilisation and response time by authorised agencies.
- Generate statistics and policy reports for government and stakeholders.
- Support fire risk mapping, predictive analytics, and prevention programmes.
- Enhance training, enlightenment, and enforcement activities.
- Support accountability, auditing, and verification of reported incidents.
- Improve the NFDRC platform, user experience, and system performance.
Legal Basis for Processing
The NFDRC processes data in line with national laws and legitimate public interest, including but not limited to:
- Fire Service Act, CAP F29, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria.
- National Disaster Risk Management Policy.
- Federal Executive Council (FEC) approvals and relevant PPP frameworks.
- Legitimate interest in protecting lives, critical infrastructure, and public safety.
Data Storage & Security
We implement multi-layered security controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of NFDRC data, including:
- AES-256 encryption for data at rest.
- TLS 1.3 or equivalent for data in transit.

Data is hosted on secure servers with redundancy and disaster recovery mechanisms. Access is restricted to authorised staff and agencies based on clearly defined roles.

Location Permissions
The App may request permission to access your device’s location. This is used to:
- Capture accurate geographical coordinates of fire incidents.

You can disable location access at any time in your device settings. However, some core features (such as accurate incident reporting and mapping) may not function properly without location data.
Cookies & Analytics
The NFDRC Mobile App does not use advertising cookies. Limited analytics and technical logs may be collected to:
